We're considering your feedback as we finalise our vision for Melbourne Showgrounds

Late last year we released a draft vision for the future of Melbourne Showgrounds.

We are now considering your feedback as we prepare our vision for the long-term future of Melbourne Showgrounds over the next 30 years as well as some important and exciting projects we've started examining.

You can read an overview of the draft 30 year vision in the document library as well as supporting documents which show more details about various aspects of the vision and how it reflects your feedback.

Earlier in 2020, we consulted with our stakeholders to hear your thoughts on what works well and what could be improved about the current site. You can find an engagement summary of what we heard in this first round of engagement in the document library.

Thank you to those who completed our survey

To plan for the future Melbourne Showgrounds, we invited stakeholders and our diverse community to complete a survey and provide feedback about our draft vision.

Our survey is now closed. Your feedback will help us to finalise the vision for the future of Melbourne Showgrounds which we will present in early 2021.

Project background

The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) is developing a master plan for Melbourne Showgrounds to shape Our Showgrounds, Our Future.

The Andrews Labor Government has provided funding to the RASV to ensure the much-loved precinct can best serve the needs of Victorians now and for generations to come.

Our Showgrounds, Our Future will identify how the site can be improved to maximise its potential as a centre for agriculture, events, exhibitions, and wider community use.

It will look at options to upgrade or replace ageing infrastructure and how to best integrate transport, exhibition, and accommodation facilities into the precinct.
